I Wish Dr Dispatch...

Add a 'Loaded' status to note if a load is picked up. The flow would then be Assigned->Dispatched->Loaded->Empty.

Docked is for splits actually. It doesn't mean the same as loaded. Loaded is missing entirely at this point.

Docked is to denote a load is sort of drop loaded, kind of for cross docking, etc.

Adding a status is hard because of all the filters and reports would need updated to reflect that.

We would need to account for Docked in load list reports, load views, etc.

For trucking, "assigned" for us means it is pre-planned on a truck. "Dispatched" means the driver has the load information and has been dispatched. "Docked", to us, doesn't tell us anything because this could be docked at the shipper or the consignee. "Loaded" would tell us that the truck is loaded at the shipper.

For brokerage it is much the same thing for us. The load is either "Assigned" to a carrier or "Dispatched" to the carriers driver, then "Loaded" would mean the carrier has picked up and "Empty" means it is delivered. Docked here just doesn't work for us either.

i thought assigned was that the truck will pk up the load and we do not know when he is enroute in brokerage. And dispatched meant he was loaded.
in trucking assigned meant that is the next load to pk up and dispatched meant he was loaded.
So I guess it is how you decide how you want to use it.

dispatched means the same thing change dispatched to loaded
